FileTek to Integrate StorHouse® with EMC Centera™ Content Addressed Storage

New York, New York (April 29, 2002)- FileTek, Inc., a data storage and access management systems provider, today announced that it has entered into a technology agreement with EMC Corporation to integrate FileTek's StorHouse® data management software product with the newly announced EMC Centera™ content addressed storage (CAS) solution. The integration is expected to be finalized and solutions generally available in the third quarter.

EMC Centera represents new software-driven storage architecture, specifically built to address the unique information storage requirements of long-lasting, unchanging digital objects, or fixed content.

When integrated with Centera, StorHouse will provide a cost-effective online data storage system with relational access to large amounts of rich media. StorHouse and Centera customers will benefit by the ability to use standard SQL queries to quickly access specific fixed content data stored on disk. In addition, StorHouse provides a standard file system interface, which uses its relational database to manage billions of files in petabyte-size storage systems and can provide both SQL and file system access to the same information.
