StorHouse Technical Overview

Duration: one half day

This presentation is the initial half-day of a multi-day training program for StorHouse/SM or RM. This presentation covers basic concepts, architecture, and terminology for the StorHouse multi-level storage management (SM) and Relational Database (RM).

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course the students will:

  • Learn the basic concepts of StorHouse/SM multi-level storage management


  • Understand the basic architecture of StorHouse/SM and RM


  • Be able to identify the hardware components which are managed by StorHouse/SM


  • Understand Volume Set and File Set and how they apply to storage management with StorHouse/SM


  • Understand the basic functions and capabilities of StorHouse/RM


  • Understand the role and use of the Performance Buffer and the migration of files across storage levels
