Our awards are grouped into three categories: corporate, marketing, and publications.
Corporate
Document Management (DM) magazine. The FileTek StorHouse storage virtualization and data management software won the esteemed 2009 Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) Product of the Year award from Document Management (DM) magazine. The DM Awards, the only UK awards focused solely on the content and document management industry, honor outstanding products, suppliers, and projects each year. The 2009 winners in 24 categories were nominated and selected by Document Management readers and by a team of experts from across the industry, including independent bodies, consultants, and other specialists.
Network Products Guide, an industry-leading publication on information technologies and solutions, named StorHouse/RM a winner of the 2009 Best Products and Services Award in the Database Management category. This respected annual award honors products and services that represent the rapidly changing needs and interests of technology end-users worldwide. As part of the tech industry’s leading global awards program, this year’s Best Products and Services were nominated from all over the world.
The Network Products Guide, industry’s leading publication on information technologies and solutions, has named StorHouse/RM and Trusted Edge® Information Classification Engine (ICE) winners of the 2009 Product Innovation Award in the Database and Information Governance categories respectively. This annually venerated award recognizes and honors vendors from all over the world with innovative and ground-breaking products that are bringing essential and incremental changes and are setting the bar higher for others in all areas of information technology.
2009 Maryland Top 100. FileTek, Inc. was named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Businesses for 2009 by DiversityBusiness.com, the nation’s leading business-to-business Internet site. The companies listed on the Top Business Lists represent the nation’s top multicultural earners and emphasize the significance of privately held businesses.
2008 Best of Rockville Award for Enterprise Software. Rockville, MD - December 15, 2008 - FileTek, Inc., a pioneer developer of enterprise information and data management solutions, today announced that it has been selected for the 2008 Best of Rockville Award in the Enterprise Software category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).
2008 Document Management Awards Finalist. Rockville, MD - October 2, 2008 - FileTek, Inc., a pioneer developer of innovative information and data management solutions, today announced that it is a finalist in five categories of the 2008 Document Management Awards, as nominated by the readers of DM Magazine, the UK's number one IT storage magazine. FileTek's StorHouse® product has been named a finalist in the "Compliance Product of the Year," "ILM Product of the Year," "Content Management Product of the Year," and "Product of the Year" categories, while the company's Trusted Edge® Desktop Data Management Suite is competing in the "Software Product of the Year" category.
IM2005 Awards Finalist. FileTek's StorHouse/RFS product was honored as an
IM2005 Awards finalist in the "Information Storage" category. The prestigious Information
Management (IM) award recognizes excellence and innovation in business information
management.
DM Review 100 Award, 2003. DM Review magazine recognized FileTek as one of the "DM Review 100" companies. Readers participated in a web-based survey, and rated the products and vendors they use based on satisfaction with the vendor's expertise, service, and support. More information.

Process Innovation Award, 2001. FileTek and the Met. Office, the weather
service of the United Kingdom, won Kinetic Information’s 2001 “Process Innovation
Award” in the Government category for the Met. Office’s unique use of FileTek's
StorHouse information technology to support global warming research. FileTek designed
and implemented this technology at the Met Office’s headquarters in Bracknell, England.

DM Review 100 Award, 2000. DM Review magazine recognized FileTek as one of
the "DM Review 100" companies for 2000. Winners were chosen in a web-conducted survey
that rated the products and vendors readers use based on excellence, quality and
overall value to the enterprise. More information.
Information Technology Product of the Year 2000 Award. The High Technology Council of Maryland awarded FileTek the "Information Technology Product of the Year Award for 2000" for the revolutionary contribution that FileTek's flagship software product, StorHouse, made to the database industry. Marketing
Silver Inkwell Awards, 2000, 2002. FileTek's Marketing/Communications department won the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) "Silver Inkwell Award" for the company's corporate capability brochure, Details, and for the FileTek web site, www.filetek.com. More information.
Publications
STC Publications Competition Awards, 1993-present. Since 1993, FileTek's user documentation has won awards in the Society for Technical Communication's (STC) annual Chapter Publications Competition. Two of these entries, the StorHouse System Administrator's Guide and the Getting Started with StorHouse/Admin book, also won a "Merit" and an "Excellence" award in STC's International Publications Competition.
